Wooden Toy Fire Engine: Beautifully made by Plan Toys, this is the best fire engine we have ever found and an absolute classic.

Well built, big and chunky with lots of moving parts, the ladder extends really smoothly and with the fire hose platform on the top, makes the fire engine over half a metre high! As well as extending, the long ladder also swings out over the side of the engine and there is also a spring loaded fire hose that can be pulled out from the side of the vehicle. To top everything off, the engine is manned by two wooden fireman dolls who are dressed for the part and have fully movable arms and legs.

Constantly out on display in our shop, this is a hugely popular toy that survives some pretty rough play. We love this fire truck and it makes the perfect present - guaranteed to be a huge hit with any child and built to last using wood and non toxic paints, a truly classic wooden toy and a great present idea.
